Fourth or subsequent DUI convictions in Rhode Island can trigger lifetime revocation in extreme cases, though most are handled through extended revocation periods rather than permanent revocation. Hardship licenses may be available for limited work-related driving during the suspension period. License reinstatement after a repeat DUI requires completion of all sentence components, payment of DMV fees, ignition interlock installation, and proof of insurance through an SR-22 filing.
